Seen from the perspective of English and American expats -- several in their senior years -- Tea with Mussolini is an original take on the familiar story of political upheaval discrimination and fear. Tea With Mussolini which spans 10 years beginning in 1935 follows the declining fortunes of these women who are eventually rounded up bused to another city and forced to share crude barracks-like quarters.
